Labour Party Conference delegates passed emergency motion in autumn accepting findings of the UN Commission of Inquiry report Israel is committing genocide & demanding a full suspension of arms trade with Israel & sanctions.
Labour leadership is well out of step with members.
🚨A new poll commissioned by Save the Children UK, Christian Aid, and Medical Aid for Palestinians has found that 78 per cent of Labour party members support suspending all UK arms exports to Israel.

This is a drivers dispute; if anybody other than drivers took part it could be classed as secondary action which is unlawful under Section 224 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.
Also, passengers could still get fined for not having a valid ticket.
Now that Gaza lies in ruins—shattered, like a beloved face after a long brutality—Israel moves with a terrible confidence to the next act: The act of leaving every soul there not merely wounded, but permanently disabled. Injured, sick, hungry, homeless, without work, without hope. This is not war’s collateral damage. This is design.
As my friend Gideon Levy writes—and he knows, he knows—this is the prelude to expulsion. Think of it: a society without teachers, without doctors, without social workers, without engineers, without clerks. That is not a society. That is a holding pen. A slow erasure. And when nothing functions—no school, no hospital, no office, no heart—then it becomes ‘easy,’ they tell themselves, to scatter the people to the four corners of the earth. Like seeds from a broken pod, except no soil will take them.
We must name this. Not with rage alone, though rage is honest. But with the cold, clear tears of recognition: they are making life impossible so that departure becomes the only ‘choice.’ And the world watches, adjusts its spectacles, and calls for restraint. Restraint! There is no restraint in a slow drowning.
Hackney Lib Dems are promising residents in Hackney Central to "continue in our campaign to keep a decent store on the Tesco site in Morning Lane". This is the first we've heard of 'their' campaign. We suggest they reconsider this claim and start coming to MOPS planning meetings.
🚨#Tubestrike ON🚇
An RMT spokesperson said:
"Despite our best efforts in ACAS talks, TfL have failed to provide assurances on our members deeply held concerns around fatigue, reduced flexibility, shift lengths and the impact these proposals could have in a safety-critical role like tube driving.
"We remain available for meaningful talks, but strike action tomorrow will now go ahead."

Doesn’t post much political stuff but might ask “Can you tell me who your constituency has elected to annual conference and where they stand politically?”
Why would any MP need to know this info & why would any MP share it?

A timeline of how we got to the point where Hackney Council consulted residents about its plans to redevelop 55 Morning Lane, Dec 2024-April 2025, following 5 years of campaigning and over 7 years after the Council originally bought the site from Tesco.

This really is tone deaf stuff from Blair.
The extreme, neoliberal, centre is what’s led to a cost of living crisis, food banks and wider decline in our country, and why people across this country are rejecting it outright.
It’s his brand of politics that’s led us to an utterly broken country.
It’s crystal clear Tony Blair does not care about the lives of working class people.*
And, this intervention definitely does not speak on their behalf
He speaks for the billionaire class, vested interests and the status quo with the aim of protecting their wealth and power, much like his great friend Peter Mandelson.
His institute are bankrolled by big tech and corporate interests, not the 99% struggling through austerity, insecurity and inequality.
They don’t represent ordinary communities nor possess the answers to the problems facing the country in 2026.
Time to bow out Tony you have done enough damage.
Hyper-factionalism aptly describes how Labour was ‘captured’ by a particular group.
Rarely has a particular faction sought to destroy all other groupings through such undemocratic means, in doing so putting the party’s future at risk.
This is how we start to reclaim our party.
The hyper-factionalism that has captured the Labour Party has caused huge damage.
This is why we have come together to campaign to restore party democracy and our historic pluralism, and by returning Labour to our roots, put us back on a path to regain public confidence.
This is a valuable initiative to restore political balance to the Labour Party in London. Restoring a broad church approach to end the aggressive factionalism is exactly what’s needed if we are to bring the party together to defeat Reform
