If we cancel all student debt, ppl will want medical debt forgiven. If we cancel medical debt, they're going to want free healthcare. If we give them that, they'll want us to house the homeless. Then everyone's going to want a living wage. The whole society will fall apart.
@DrLovlie notes that there were about 400,000 AR-15 style rifles in America before the assault weapons ban went into effect in 1994. Today, there are 20 million.
@AndyRichter If an AR15 is so scary the cops won't enter the building, why the fuck are they legal?!?! Excuse my language, but I am done with hearing about dead kids. This has to stop!!!
Pediatrician here. I want people to know that death by firearm is not rare in kids. In fact, it has been the #1 cause death in this age group since 2020. In 2020 alone, 4300 children died from firearms. That’s equivalent to one Boeing 747 plane crash every month for 9 months.
This is important because there are people with power out here trying to claim that what we did last night should be a crime, that the reward for saving a life should be imprisonment or worse, and that the choice to survive should be met with punishment.

On Tuesday my mid child will be 6.5 years old.
I will be exactly 6 months away from paying off my 20% portion of her $1.2mil birth.
We can't be deciding as a country to force carrying pregnancies when we wont provide insurance that covers the cost.
I just realized my non-US friends probably don't know how US insurance works.
So lets say your employer offers insurance. They pay a portion and then you pay a portion. For a family, the employee pays on average about $400 per pay cycle, or $10,400 per year.
