This is a great resource for parents and teachers right now. Find reviewed media that is beneficial and educational for students. Help students stay entertained and learn! #educ331

It is important for teachers to not overload students right now. Class work should be cut back to allow time for students to get off of the computer and take care of their mental health. Each student is dealing with this differently. #educ331
Thrively is a great strengths assessment tool that students can use to look at where their strengths lie and how teachers can use these strengths to support students. It gives students a chance to self-reflect and to support their learning. #educ331

While teaching online it is extremely important to remember protecting students privacy and information. Resources should be COPPA and FERPA compliant, and we shouldn’t be sharing screenshots of ZOOM meetings as those can give out information about students’ identity #educ331
@mjab_art@mrsjeff2u@k_shelton This is so true. Everyone’s internet situation is different, and also we need to make sure students feel comfortable and have the knowledge to use these devices
In the past we have assumed that providing devices 1:1 and making students aware of locations such as libraries that have internet was enough to. Now we realize that some students may not know how to use the technology, and having to stay at home cannot access WiFi. #educ331
Yes! We forget that everyone is using the internet at the same time, often using platforms like ZOOM and this can potentially slow down the speed. Try to spend free time off of the compute since so much work time is on it.
PSA: go outside, take a walk. Not only is it good to take a break from the computer, but you might be freeing up the WiFi, and giving other students more access! 🤔 #justmorningthoughts#educ331#tweet4
Access to WiFi isn’t just about money. Students who live in rural areas may not have WiFi that reaches them. As a teacher you can help this by making class work that doesn’t require a lot of internet time and well as offer phone call check ins. #educ331
@misspollydore I totally agree. Having a device is one thing, however we cannot assume that everyone had access to WiFi or high speed WiFi to connect to online learning
During times like this it is extremely important to think about equity and (tech)uity for students. This doesn’t just mean giving devices to students, but ensuring they are set up for success in using them. It also means making lesson culturally relevenat and responsive #educ331
The support from CSU alumni Jim Vidakovich and Al Howard has allowed the BRAINY program to continue transforming the lives of children in Northern Colorado.

This is a super innovative way to incorporate technology into the art classroom. Goes beyond the standard digital drawing and is using cutting edge technology. #arted#arteducation#pstpln
