Yorkdale needs an emergency evacuation plan. There is no way we should been allowed to enter the parking garage while the mall is on lockdown. Have been sitting in the same spot trying to evacuate for 20 mins. People still getting on elevators to mall.@TorontoPolice @CityNewsTO

@wonTONfm @TorontoPolice @CityNewsTO And a faster more competent response. Took the first and second wave of people running and about 40 minutes for Yorkdale security to send any messages out to the store employees.

So much love for the employees at #Yorkdale. Got stuck in a semi-lockdown in 2 stores at mall with the craziness and they were so lovely. Stay safe!

@redeyeespresso Yes! I left the Kate Spade store maybe 30 minutes ago. They said that they’d spoken to security and that the situation was under control and to just stay away from the area with the craziness and exit the mall.
