A brilliant man is cut down in the prime of his life. A man who fostered respectful engagement, something sorely needed in these divisive times. A man half my age, yet someone I revered as one of the most effective debaters I have ever seen. That is it. I am brokenhearted.
I would like to express sincere condolences to all the families who have lost loved ones, in particular their daughters, who were at the summer camp, in the disaster caused by flooding of the Guadalupe River in Texas in the United States. We pray for them.
With the weight of the world on his shoulders, President Trump acted for the betterment of humanity. For the next few hours spare us the arm chair quarterbacking and instead trust our Commander in Chief.
