@garyblack00@DivesTech Never a believer of FSD, will never be. Elon always used the human driving stats, but that’s a flawed comparison. For a new driver or a driver under influence, FSD may be safer, but I’m neither with a clean record of 20+ years, how can he prove FSD is safer than me?
@garyblack00@garyblack00 are you not concerned the past three weeks sales in China? It appears demand is fading again since deliveries are supposed to for the local market (if there are orders). Chinese Weibo influencer accounts are talking about more price cut for Tesla later this year.
@ThatTony2@TeslaLarry I’ve seen some news about BYD on fire but the reported ones can be counted with my hands, and it is not deterring customers to buy BYD, Tesla had those in early days too and it wasn’t deterring customers to buy Tesla either.
@ThatTony2@TeslaLarry Saw his Weibo posts, he is totally biased against BYD (every post about BYD from him is negative), and his reference to “天天烧“ is a quote from a competitor and it’s the typical Chinese anecdotal reference that has no actual data to back up.
@garyblack00@farzyness Exactly, with such a big price cut and Shanghai is still not in full production capacity in the Q1, that’s not telling the demand is as strong as Elon said in the last ER call. Time has changed for Tesla and don’t use Tesla’s history to predict its performance in the future.
@farzyness Ultimately the new competitions emerging from China decide Tesla’s performance, Tesla can’t ignore it and they are not, but their solution is slow and may not even work well. Time will tell.
@farzyness Not true, when you say other auto markets I think you refer to other OEMs outside China because BYD’s growth has been phenomenal. Tesla has strong competition now in China from the emerging Chinese brands, Elon said the competition is from China and that’s where you should look.
