A bit late in posting this, but had a wonderful time @Cambridge_Uni learning how to apply mutual information based analysis to my data under @canalesjohnson. It was a month I’ll never forget, hopefully leading to some meaningful findings in the near future.
I am honored to be able to publish our work on functional mapping of movement and speech in stereoEEG in the upcoming issue of @TheJNS. Super grateful to our team @Kai_J_Miller@kerzoudis@dora_hermes

1/8 Finally published at @NatureComms, "Distributed representations of prediction error signals across the cortical hierarchy are synergistic". Very grateful to all the friends and colleagues around the globe who made this possible. https://t.co/KmfYZvNDIf
@KJBinSTL Great question. We believe that there is at least more site acting similar to the RMA. It appears to be more dorsal (closer to foot area). These results are shown in Extended Data Figure 2.
Thanks to all the hard work of our team here at Mayo, we were able to uncover a novel motor association area in the depths of the central sulcus, disrupting our nearly century-old understanding of the organization of the primary motor cortex.

@_stah @Da_Mesquita_S Thanks for the question.
area 3a supposedly has strong somatotopy in humans (https://t.co/ES6X9XR7Wo), while the RMA does not. Also 3a is in the posterior bank while our site is located in the anterior bank in 9/11 subjects (Ext. Data Fig 1)
@dora_hermes Tough question! I would say Supplementary Figure 10, demonstrating how we identified hand tongue foot and RMA sites naively from a 3D feature space using K-means clustering
Recorded a great one with my dude Jack! You can probably tell from the picture, I sang the entire interview. Jack was less than thrilled but still think it turned out ok. Episode will be out soon! Happy Tuesday! https://t.co/38F9lcGVIz
1/8 Finally out! "Distributed representations of prediction error signals across the cortical hierarchy are synergistic", a global collaboration with Frank Gelens, Misako Komatsu, Michael A. Jensen, @drrobinince, @Kai_J_Miller, @happieheads, @uranc__ , @martin_a_vinck
The organization of the homunculus as we've known it is being challenged. Check out our latest paper clearly demonstrating a motor association area in the depth of the central sulcus: https://t.co/WwmiVpHURv #CaMPlab@Kai_J_Miller
@PeterAttiaMD Dr Attia, you’re Podcast has changed my life in many ways. I just got into my top 3 med school choices, Hopkins, Mayo, and Baylor. Do you have any advice on which factor(s) are most important when I choose a school? Thank you for your guidance.
Recorded an episode with Jeff this week, he was in a car accident just before his junior of college and has gone on to have a full life and even writing a book on dealing with a TBI. To… https://t.co/KrzWVbZGs2
New episode is up with Dami! She crashed her Chevy Cobalt in a semi truck going 7mph a few years ago. It’s a miracle she survived and her story is oh so cool. Find it on iTunes, Spotify,… https://t.co/JqaAEYlbsJ
Recorded some episodes this weekend including one with Maddy here! Incredible stories coming your way soon. Keep keeping it fresh @ Gambia, Grand Cape Mount, Liberia https://t.co/BJkcaejVy1
