@mwilkin93 @RegionWaterloo @GRT_ROW They couldn’t know how long the strike would be. They can’t offer a free June pass to everyone that normally buys or might have wanted to buy a May pass. Passes should be bought before the 1st of the month. Technically they don’t have to do anything to offset the strike period.

If ratified the mechanics that have been on strike also need Wednesday to get all the buses in good order, service should resume Thursday.

Then vote, count and then another day for the mechanics who have also been on strike to get back and make sure every bus is ready to go. They walked off the job mid-shift 02/01.

Then counting. If ratified, mechanics need a day to make sure it all runs smoothly as they have also been on strike.

If you don’t want them to be able to strike, petition the RofW to make transit an essential service. Stop crying and do something about it.
