@danno_omen@pablofindsout@PabloTorre It’s still cap circumvention because it let them pay more than the max contract and made the Clippers a better destination, while adhering to the cap prevented the Raptors from making any better offer.
@Jeffs_Penguins@Flux_cc Pettersson has been horrible but at $8.9M with $2.6M retained, he’s worth a heck of a lot more than a cap dump and a pair of 2nds. At that point Vancouver is betting holding, it’s not like the cap is an issue for a team that’s barely at the floor to begin with
@MrFordy5@NHL@spittinchiclets Why do conspiracy theorists love the idea that the person conspiring against them will leave a trail of clues as if every evil person in the world is the Riddler
@NiqVelji nobody should be calling him a star but he’s young and cheap, and for the most part plays a responsible game. he definitely didn’t look like he’d pan out in Vancouver but in hindsight it never made sense to move on from him for little to no return. comparing him to kane is crazy
@mark_scheig $4 million is a stretch considering signing bonuses make up 14M of his contract, but even with that accounted for he will be saving about $2.6 million.
@SensBuzz this is standard practice, most likely a memorabilia shop is paying them a flat rate to show up and hoping to profit from it with ticket sales
@TuckonSports@LstLineOfDfense He’s an analytical darling but imo WAR/Player Value models overrate him because holding the puck for a minute and shooting a muffin right at the goalie’s chest and getting of the ice looks great to the models.
This will bug you more when ur down a goal with 10 minutes to go..
@TuckonSports@LstLineOfDfense Yes, but you’ll get tired of watching him skate circles for a minute only to give the puck up. There comes a point where you’ll start finding his puck possession is a net negative.
@TuckonSports@LstLineOfDfense He’s extremely good at possessing the puck, but rarely makes a good pass and frequently takes the low percentage shot as a guy with a muffin.
Gives it 110% for the full 60.
The play always dies on his stick. If he could figure out his passing he would be a PPG player.
@camolNFT@YGuillemet17015 Most bids in high value auctions are only placed so that the bidder can become eligible for extended bidding, the serious bidding almost always starts after close.
