Previously, #AB1663 creator wanted to normalize conserving houseless people. Now, CARE Court Bill which targets houseless people for conservatorship has passed. This is terrible news for #DisabilityJustice. If you want to help, give them a house!
California instead of actually helping homeless or people who have substance issues they pass Care Court. Instead of actually helping ppl find shelter, and rehabilitation there answer is putting ppl into a “Conservatorship” a Violation of peoples civil and constitutional rights.
Lie that was said #AB1663 would prevent more Conservatorships. They passed yet another bill Care Court that will force homeless or ppl who have drinking or drug problems into Conservatorships. They don’t care about Civil,Human, or Disability rights they just wanted bills passed.
