It varies by region/country and often between ILD specialist centres. E.g., in my centre the most used steroid dose for #AEIPF is Prednisolone 40 mg/d for 2 weeks, with a slow reduction of 5 mg every 2w up to 10 mg/d.

But I am aware that it is difficult to do so in a conventional RCT. Good initiative, looking forward for the results 😃👍

Finally, the opinion of the patients through questionnaires of QoL (symptoms, tolerability, etc) is also essential for a holistic approach. #CureIPF 🫁🌎

And OP is rarely seen. AE of other ILD are a different story. The question of an infectious or environmental triggers is fascinating. We need good longitudinal cohorts to assess that. @herazo_maya?

In our molecular profiling study (old, but still the ONLY one methinks) we saw cell death and DAD, but no evidence for the type of inflammation one would treat with steroids https://t.co/f0BSe8Pclf

The only good from the recent RCTs was to know that we can design and recruit for #AEIPF RCTs!
