Take home point: appreciate deaf people's expertise and experience in video communication and include them right from the beginning in dialogue and design consultations for video platforms #ASSETS2020
It was great to be involved in #ASSETS2020 & discuss accessibility experiences as a deaf #BSL user - visual fatigue and cultural & social norms don't translate as well on online platforms. My article (with BSL translation) @Limping_Chicken discusses this more in depth.

This was my first time attending, and there were sign language interpreters, subtitles etc accessibility available, so very rewarding experience.
