It's rarely seen that the overseas branch of Islamic Republic #apologists and #propagandists raise these kinds of questions about the Lebanese, Iraqi, or Arab roots of the highest-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic, or the Afghan, Iraqi, Lebanese, and Yemeni origins of their killers stationed in #Iran, #Syria, and elsewhere in the region. Neither you nor other armchair commentators on X profiles... These same individuals routinely use the racist term “Seyyed”, a hereditary bloodline designation claiming descent from holy figures in Islam, for Tajzadeh and other former or current officials, even in English-language media texts.
These diversionary and absurd debates, which seem more suited to the think tanks of the #IRGC Intelligence or the crumbling Intelligence Ministry of the Islamic regime, prove that media balloon-blowers lack real political literacy when it comes to dealing with the national opposition. They're so ignorant that they don't even know that the most renowned founders of their own contemporary leftist schools, such as Adorno and Horkheimer, lived for years in exile with American #citizenship.
Hannah Arendt, one of the greatest critics of fascist regimes, became a US citizen and considered herself an exile. No self-styled “journalist” ever contacted their publishers to question the legitimacy of their views or political struggle on these grounds.
Even holding #citizenship of another country or living in prolonged exile does not preclude national representation, especially when the internal regime lacks legal legitimacy and acts as an #occupier.
When you address “#journalist colleagues,” you should know that someone working in media or producing media content who, instead of addressing the opposition leadership's role in connection with a specific individual representing victims of mass killings, highlights their nationality and turns it into a tool of character assassination, violates the core principles of journalism: accuracy in reporting, fairness, respect for the killed, avoidance of discrimination against them, proper issue framing, and distance from #propaganda-driven smear #campaigns. Learn these principles, at a minimum, you won't embarrass yourself.
