So looking through the Philly monthly meeting records in 1737 it occurred to me that the Quaker disownment of #BenjaminLay happened exactly one week after the Walking Purchase (aka the “running walk” aka James Logan’s dispossession of the Lenape through outright fraud) 1/
@torstrick "No Justice No Peace" was a powerful cry in 17th century by badass US abolitionists when they did sharp guerrilla theater and publicly & loudly called out atrocities of slave owners. #BenjaminLay and others used #NoJusticeNoPeace before & after public actions. Bring it BACK!!
