In 2019, under the @realDonaldTrump administration, I launched the concept of #MaximumSupport to the Iranian people to complete the already agreed upon policy of #MaximumPressure on the #IranRegime.
I told ambassador #BrianHook, special envoy for Iran, that pressuring the regime without supporting the people will not go far.
A task force was working on the international conference in Warsaw to coordinate the two policies. I advised the task force on behalf of NGOs.
But we missed the October 2019 revolution in Iran because of internal crisis in the US, followed by COVID, then the summer 2020 urban incidents, before a change of administration in 2021.
