We hope you are enjoying our #ArchiveZ posts. Our bridge fans may be wondering why we haven't been posting many bridges. Well, we have a treat for you coming up in December #BridgeMonth or #BridgeAZ, either way 26 days of bridges and we will be looking for audience participation!

8月4日の今日は #橋の日ということで【note過去記事】からICE図書館（@ICELibrary）さんが昨年末にやっていた #BridgeAZ をまとめたページを。 #橋いろはという企画も考えたのですが中の人の持ちネタが。。。 BridgeAZ（A to G）｜公益社団法人土木学会 @JSCE_note #note https://t.co/scoJUYaZyb

We hope you all enjoyed #BridgeAZ and #TransportAZ. Next month we will be doing #BuildingAZ including materials, building methods and of course some buildings. We'd love you all to join in, starting 1 April.

Following on from #BridgeAZ and #TransportAZ we have a few ideas for April. Could be a theme month or an A-Z. We're thinking Materials Buildings A-Z Tunnels theme or A-Z Maritime. Which would you like to see or do you have any other suggestions?

@markhipwell1990 @ICE_engineers @ICELibrary So having just done 26 days of #BridgeAZ are we now embarking on 52 weeks of #Bridge2021 ? What are the criteria? Is this about bridge people and bridge stories rather than the bridge names this time?

We have come to the end of #BridgeAZ. Thank you to everyone who has joined in especially new followers and those who have joined in every, or nearly every day. We are going to have a test now but who would be up for #transportAZ perhaps in February?

It's day 26 and the last day of #BridgeAZ . We are slightly cheating today - Z is for Zealand Bridge, otherwise known as Wast Bridge, part of the Great Belt or Storebælt bridge. Image from Wikipedia

#BridgeAZ and finally Z is for Zubia. The word in Basque for bridge. Euskalduna Zubia, a curved steel beam stiffened by an open section curved truss that serves as separation and canopy of pedestrians and cyclists from cars in rainy Bilbao. Bridges also are space makers.

Slightly pathetic end to #BridgeAZ but all I can manage is Z for New Zealand. Rope bridges at Staglands and Rimutka parks, Totara cable stay in Harcourt over the Hutt river and an odd footbridge in Wellington harbour.

Z is for HurZig. Arthur Hurzig was the consulting engineer on the 1911-14 works to transform the Victorian bridge into today's Old Bridge. His career also involved the Aswan Dam and Forth Railway Bridge. His name is now engraved into a bench on Rochester Esplanade #BridgeAZ

The #BridgeAZ . @ICELibrary End of fun road! 26 December Z Zwolle Zwarte Water 🇳🇱 steel bascule bridge with concrete cable-stay fixed span & 45m ‘sail’ towers. Design Maunsell/Grontmij. Here I am 1998 at opening of my last bridge before moving to ‘systems’ resilience planning.
