Through funding from @UKinNigeria, we are proud to have enabled 82,327 smallholders across northern Nigeria between April - December 2024 to access poultry and livestock vaccination and other animal health products from a trained network of community animal health workers #CAHWs.
During @OroraWihaze close out event,we showcased how capacity building of private #veterinary practitioners has enhanced #livestock production and #extension services.This was achieved through adoption of innovative technologies & empowered Community Animal Health Workers #CAHWs

Our Program Line up for #WAAW starts with Capacity Building for Community Animal Health Workers (#Cahws) from 18 rural communities in Kaduna State.

Mayor @NgomaDistrict & DG Animal resources dvpt @RwandaAgri joined @OroraWihaze to launch community animal health workers based extension model implemented by #RCVD. 64 vets and 400 #CAHWs have been trained and extended
trainings to 27,000 farmers in 8 districts of intervention.
The training on Participatory approaches in epidemiology
and socio-economics is ongoing with field activities in view.
@Cirad is the lead partner in charge of the virtual training.

To protect #pastoralists livestock assets, NAPAD together with @shf_somalia is in Abudwak #Somalia conducting a 3-day training for 20 community animal health workers.
