The quarterly meeting discussions fed into the documentation of best practices on abortion advocacy and broader #SRHR work contributing to the coalition’s wider research and learning agenda.
Through this engagement, #CSMMUA coalition members continued to build a stronger, coordinated voice in advancing policies, advocacy, and evidence that protect the health, dignity, and the reproductive rights of women and girls.

“On behalf of the steering committee, we welcome you to our first quarterly meeting of this new year. We've come from very far as the #CSMMUA coalition, i always like to say that behind every statistic of maternal mortality is a woman with dreams, a family, and a future. Our responsibility as a coalition is to ensure that those futures are not cut short.
We continue to reaffirm our commitment to the work that we do collectively, and advocating for evidence-based policies, expanding access to accurate information and services, and ensuring that no woman dies from a preventable cause. We believe that this is not a very new fight, but it's an old fight with new strategies, and I believe we are going to have great work this year.”
- Caroline Aruho (@AruhoCarwakoma) | CSMMUA steering committee.
