โThis report shatters several widespread misconceptions about the social composition of students in Indian higher education,โ says Prof. Venkatramanan.โ โContrary to the prevailing narrative, students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) overwhelmingly dominate enrolment and significantly outnumber General Category students.โ
American sociologist Dr. Salvatore Babones, author of the white paper on the weaponization of caste in America, welcomed the AISHE findings:
โThis paper lays out the data on access to higher education by caste category. It should be read by everyone involved in Indiaโs caste reservation debates.โ
Thiyagarajan, one of the authors, echoes this view: โAISHE data reveals that availability of opportunities for SC, ST, OBC students in Higher Education is not an issue anymoreโit is above average. Now the focus should be to ensure that the creamy layer amongst them does not take away the opportunities of those in the lower rung.โ

American Hindus need to learn from Jewish groups about self protection. As the highest income ethnic group in America, Hindu success is coming under attack from usual suspects (the same groups that resent Jewish success).
