#ChatBoutMasculinity it's okay to want one sexual partner for all of your sexual encounters. It's also okay to not want or pursue any. It doesn't affect your masculinity.

Not a trait but the fact that boys are taught a very limited emotional vocabulary, which in turn affects our emotional intelligence, which leads to many toxic traits seen in our men today #ChatBoutMasculinity

In the Jamaican context, a part of being masculine is proven through sexual conquest, and as @mooretalkja explains, it becomes difficult separating masculinity from sexuality. Moore says this shows in men’s mental health as men account for 89% of suicides. #ChatboutMasculinity

More conversations such as #ChatboutMasculinity are needed, says @mikeyabrahams as he recalls a young man’s sexual encounter with a domestic worker. Abraham’s says when boys are introduced to sex in this manner, their perception of intimacy can become warped.
