Let me present you the Keshavnagar Bus stand in Pune. (A smart city, Top 10 cleanest city of India)
Average property taxes and Stamp duty, registration charges collected from new residents here: 1cr each.
Even if ~2000 flats are registered each year, assume the money collected by PMC.
And in exchange the residents don’t even have a decent hard floor bus-stand!
Roads you already know!
@PMCPune स्वच्छ पुणे ?
@SidShirole एक ऐतिहासिक पुल केशव नगर, खराडी नदी वर गेले 8 वर्षापासून तयार होत आहे. कृपया इकडे पण लक्ष द्यावे....
Dear @PMCPune don’t just give automated complaint numbers, DO some work. This is in @ChDadaPatil and @Medha_kulkarni ‘s constituency, supposedly an elite area of Pune. Why is it so filthy? #CleanUpPune

1/ There's an open plot in Lulla Nagar, Pune, on busy Bibwewadi-Kondhwa Rd. Years ago, people started dumping garbage here. No cleanup happened, and now it's a massive pile of trash and construction debris. #Pune #Cleanliness

The iThink media agency has installed an LED screen on the pillars of the metro near Nashik Phata. They have thrown plastic as it is there. I saw 10-12 pillars.
@Team_PCMC Kindly take an action against iThink Media.

This is solely a civic sense issue. Why are the people of Pune so lacking in it? #CleanUpPune

@ShefVaidya Constructions in Shivteerth Nagar Paud Road are blatantly using footpath for various construction activities, this forces pedestrians to walk on a vehicle carriage width, prone to accidents. Attached photos are from either side of Ganesh temple in Shivteerth Nagar Paud Road
Dear @PMCPune just assigning random numbers to complaints and then closing them within hours does NOT solve the problem. #CleanUpPune
@PMCPune @ShefVaidya T55761 and T55865 - both were closed within few hours of being assigned to the appropriate person.

Count the number of violations you see in this 1 minute video clip of Kothrud, Pune. @PuneCityTraffic , any plans for enforcement at this critical point? Location : Chandani Chowk. Note the white Ameo too, strange behaviour from the passenger. #LawlessKothrud
@PMCPune This is just below Ramwadi metro station viman nagar.
It is due to this car tyre got burst in mid road. Look for steel under this concrete patches...
Back in January, @PMCPune published a nice advertisement announcing that they will act on complaints about roads. Would be a good time to check how much work happened between then and now. I raised two complaints, both closed without any work on the ground.

#CleanUpPune @PMCPune can you actually DO some work please? Rather than just taking down complaints and quietly closing them without any action? @mitech666 please report in a couple of days.
@ShefVaidya @PMCPune ubalenagar to kharadi direction just before jakat naka, bring a JCB and trucks to lift 10-20 tonnes of garbage / soil.
Corporate Expats /foreigners express unhappiness at this spot.

This is a common site in many places in Pune these days. @PMCPune does nothing. Fault lies with the citizens as well of course, but fines should be rigidly enforced. #CleanUpPune @AjitPawarSpeaks @ChDadaPatil @mohol_murlidhar @Medha_kulkarni
@ShefVaidya @PMCPune wagholi, newaskar petrol pump to BJS school, please clean the side of the foothpath, it's ugly.

Some 6 months ago the demolition squad came in their trucks and demolished the makeshift stalls selling mobile phone covers, tea and snacks, and a small haircutting salon on the NIBM-Undri Road in Mohammedwadi. They were not obstructing the traffic in anyway as the picture shows. These were poor people trying to make a living. Have they extended the road? Nope. Have they tried to clean the place. Nope. The rubble has been left there and will probably lie there till next year.
@ShefVaidya The mess in Pune arrived years earlier than it hit Bengaluru
Same grammar:
Potholes
No cops visible
Signal jumping
Rampant construction and debris
Obscene real estate prices
Massive traffic
Gridlocked city
Urban Chaos is not a vote bank for most political parties
@ShefVaidya Main Kondhwa Road.. Opposite Fakhri Hills... Right from Gera Junction to Hotel Jyoti Chowk... The road and footpath is full of illegal encroachments.. Vegetable vendors, etc.. Nexus between PMC and local strong men.
