Because we are all full of insecurities & sometimes impostor syndrome, when your colleague or boss has done a great job (or even a good job) at something - let them know - because no news is generally a vacuum of information. #cheersquad #criticalfeedback
Sure shot way to inhibit growth and success is to deflect #criticalfeedback from a well-intentioned person in favour of clinging to those who say only what you want to hear! Sounds like common sense but not so common in practice.
#Criticalfeedback only works when the giver and the receiver both have a sense of honesty, compassion, objectivity and responsibility. Go into this process lightly or unprepared and the consequences can be dire, whether it is classroom or workplace.
Putting out a pledge for 360 degree cheerleading at work - we need it for ourselves & we need to give it to others, esp when they donโt feel like they are achieving or feeling invisible with no feedback from leaders or peers - bring out your Pom Poms #BringItOn #criticalfeedback
Iโve worked for some incredible organisations in ๐ฌ๐ง & ๐ฆ๐บ with 1 interesting thing in common - we tend to save up our most favourable feedback on colleagues so that it is expressed as soon as they resign - completely doable to make this happen earlier. #bebrave #criticalfeedback
Students in our Innovation Studio I & II courses presented their "Animation Creation" quickfire, design challenge projects today in the CCI. #makered #designthinking #designchallenge #prototype #animation #criticalfeedback #publicspeaking
@Carlier_J87 @TransparencyTF @APPGbanking @appgonpbandffs @CarshaltonArt I'd like to see more engagement online with your observations, but they don't seem to have the stomach for it. When an entity with ample resource doesn't respond in a convincing way to #CriticalFeedback it sets off alarm bells in my world. That's just my take.
How can you ensure you arenโt intimidating those around you and unnecessarily adding to their stress?

If I had a bank, I'd be thinking differently. Maybe wrong, I don't know, but feels right. #CriticalFeedback can be great asset for any business, including banks. Every day a bank makes several bad mistakes, don't they know?

@efgbricklayer @Ian_Fraser @NatWestGroup @jameshurley @thetimes Clive, you could actually be the greatest asset to the other side in a lot of ways. I don't understand why it's difficult for some businesses to value #CriticalFeedback, address it and use that to increase their own value in the eyes of stakeholders. Poor investment value. ๐๐ข

#Criticism. Sometimes it's painful, embarrassing, or just plain uncomfortable. But the amazing thing about #criticalfeedback is that it reveals #strengths and #weaknesses so that we can #worksmarter and know our #competitiveadvantage. #benjaminfranklin #loveyourenemies
Great #MedEd conversation today with a consultant on #CriticalFeedback. Some things we know:
1. Self assessment, although not always accurate, can be a starting point for critical feedback.
2. Both teacher and learner need to be invested.
