Had the opportunity to speak on #NavalValueSystem' to the annual #DefenceCorrespondentsCourse (DCC) conducted by #DefenceMinIndia yesterday at Goa. Great memories of conducting DCC & lecturing them from 2009 to 19. Best wishes to all for great careers in #MilitaryJournalism.
Folks, had the honour of addressing & interacting with participants of the #DefenceCorrespondentsCourse (DCC) 24, on Friday, 23 Aug & yesterday, 24 Aug. The #DCC commenced with the Naval Leg earlier this week at Karwar. Spoke to the participants on #MaritimeHistoryofIndia & #MilitaryMediaInterfaceDynamics, apart from interacting on the sidelines on many other subjects. The 2024 cohort was sharp with their observations & questions; the discussions, thus, were fruitful & interesting. Hopefully, they would have learnt & imbibed a lot about the Silent Service over the past few days.
The #DCC has been an excellent initiative of @DefenceMinIndia and over the years, many media persons have undergone this 3 to 4 weeks course. This has enabled better understanding of the complex issues that underpin national defence & security, thereby facilitating more informed discourse on these subjects in the media.
Have been happy to have been associated with the #DCC almost continuously for the past 13 years. Have also had the honour of conducting the full Naval Leg on few occasions. It has always been a rewarding experience. Wishing the participants the very best as they now move to the Air Force & Army Legs. Kudos to the organizers.
