A1: Hi everyone. My name is Lisa Vondrak and a tool that I recently used in my classroom was Quizizz as a replacement for Kahoot so that students can work at their own pace. #edtechusfmets
Know everything. We just have to know how to facilitate and guide students to their own discovery. Know what's great about that? They learn!!

A5 I think it is just the lack of curriculum and expertise by many educators and/or schools. While I teach 1:1 and am immersed in technology every day, fellow peers at other schools don't even have working projectors. This divide just increases the skills gap. #EdTechUSFMets
Thank you everyone for contributing to this Twitter Chat #EdTechUSFMets on the Digital Divide and Tech Skills Gap. Hope you have a great rest of your evening!
I see a lot of posts about "teaching" students how to problem solve. When in fact we need to facilitate learning so the students can teach themselves. #edtechUSFmets
@khjths A3: moving towards a digital school/classroom, teachers needs as much instruction on how to use the tools as the students do. Technology is a very useful tool, when used correctly! #edtechusfmets
A4: I think the skills we are teaching students are not closely enough aligned to problem solving or being innovative/creative. Ss need experience stepping outside their comfort zones to think outside the box. Tech is ever changing - they need to be flexible! #EdTechUSFMets
A3: I was intrigued by the @Adobe Creative Problem Solving Study. It's imperative for Ss to learn skills inspiring problem solving, learning from mistakes/failure, working independently, & working w/diverse teams. Giving all Ss access to these opportunities=vital #EdTechUSFMets
A3 Some teachers are not prepared to use technology. They may lack motivation to adapt to the new technology or it may be a lack of time issue. Teachers are required to do so many tasks that maybe they won't learn a new tool that would benefit kids #EdTechUSFMets
A2: It's complicated for Ts to use tech at school all day and assign homework/projects utilizing tech tools when students do not have access at home. We have to find ways to give students access outside of school to empower creativity and equal access #EdTechUSFMets

My name is Abby Cameron and I live @flipgrid in my classroom and for communication with parents. #edtechUSFmets
A1 Hello, my name is Jessica Bantz. A new tool I started using was Insert Learning, which is a Chrome extension. I really like how I'm able to embed comprehension questions into any webpage or online article. #EdTechUSFMets
A1 Hi everyone! My name is Hayley O'Reilly and I teach 4th grade. I have started using @Seesaw this year and have LOVED its functionalities in connecting Ss with peers and families! #EdTechUSFMets
