What caused inflation to spike? In large part, it came from big corporations using their market power (ie the fact that they’ve gobbled up or killed their competitors) to drive up prices and gouge consumers. That’s why we need an #ExcessProfitsTax and #Antitrust laws.
Amazon allegedly used a secret algorithm codenamed "Project Nessie" to test how much it could artificially jack up prices.
It reportedly helped the company overcharge customers by $1 BILLION and led competitors to raise prices as well.
