Considering the two, the self fabricated microSD extension backplate route is definitely the more robust option. You can even fabricate 2 for the price of the flimsy and arduous cable routing option.

The micro sd card extender works well and can be easily affixed with some thin VHB tape and clear UV glue on the nubs that I recommended earlier. Looks as OEM as it’s gonna get right now. Once again, thanks to @bonbomods for sharing.

Finally, after a very long wait, my flippydrive units have arrived! One for my spice orange GameCube and one for my Panasonic Q.

To use all e SWISS Patches such as IGR, Emulated MCs, etc on e #FlippyDrive, u wld need to force all games to boot through SWISS in e config.ini file. Of course u would need to set them first in SWISS by holding X to boot into the Onboard DOL! Thanks @trevorrudolph for e tip!

There is a clearance issue with uSD extenders & the screw holder with the current 3D mount in the evaluation kits. Either mount it at an angle with the top screw only or remove that screw holder altogether… 🤣 #FlippyDrive

Firstly, let’s discuss mounting options for e #FlippyDrive. Besides commercial ones, u can affordably 3D print e #GCLoader mount w/ a 15cm uSD>SD extender instead. If u decide to keep ur optical drive, u can route e 15cm uSD>SD/uSD extender through e back plate externally as well
