Continuing CMCโs weekly Walk Free initiative, encroachment removal drives were carried out across identified stretches in all three Zones, helping reclaim roads, footpaths and public spaces for citizens.
Total: 290 encroachments removed across 14.1 km

Sri A. Ramulu, Addl. DCP Traffic-I, along with Sri S. Mohan Kumar, ACP Traffic, Khairatabad Zone, supervised a #ROPE operation in the Ameerpet area, conducted by the @insptr_pgt
During the operation, encroachments and obstructions on footpaths and carriageways were removed to ensure safe pedestrian movement and improve the smooth flow of traffic. Legal action was also taken against violators under the relevant provisions of law.

โน50,839 fine imposed on Bhima Jewellery, Koramangala for dumping mixed wet and dry waste without segregation on a public footpath.
๐งน During a routine inspection by Bengaluru South City Corporation marshals, the establishment was found violating the Solid Waste Management Rules. An immediate penalty of โน50,839 (โน50,000 fine + โน839 service charge) was imposed and collected.
โป๏ธ The staff were also educated on proper waste segregation and the importance of maintaining cleanliness.
