The #notafullremoval issue was uncovered when Dr Veronikis put pictures up of removed mesh. It had nothing to do with mesh campaign groups at the time. Further to this I appreciate that a picture of a fully removed mesh may not always equate to a successful outcome for the patient -which is of course THE most important metric. In England when mesh centres are selected I have asked NHSE to mandate outcome sharing and benchmarking

#Mesh and no guarantees - "as far as possible" is not a catch-all phrase to excuse a #notafullremoval surgeon. Safe #Fullremoval surgeons may leave mesh behind due to high risk . eg. on the bone,near major artery. Not a default excuse to leave behind 2/3 TVTO on regular basis.
