2/ In November 2022, @GosforthLibDems proposed a Council motion on the future of #GosforthHighStreet. A friendly amendment proposed by @NewcastleLabour's transport lead was supported unanimously by @NewcastleCC including by Council leader Councillor Kemp.

In November 2022, @NewcastleCC Councillors, including the Leader of the Council, unanimously supported a motion on the future of Gosforth High Street. The trial layout doesn’t achieve any of these outcomes and should be replaced with a new layout that does.
Tbf we thought we were past the stage of "a bit of paint will do it".
