The WHO is trying to close out negotiations on a new agreement on pandemic preparedness and response. The most recent session, #INB8, lasted two weeks. The next one, #inb9, is the last two weeks of march.

Debating the way forward, #inb8, some countries want non-government observers like MSF, TWN, KEI, etc to be able to listen to the informals, but other countries object. At WIPO, this is often allowed.

At #INB8. Long discussion ongoing on where discussions on financing mechanism should occur. Bureau proposed that financing mechanism should be discussed in INB to save time - but that the financing mechanism would apply to both INB and IHR.
