In the video, the U.S. citizen is standing at a gas station when an agent walks up and says, “Let me see your ID.” The man asks a completely reasonable question, “Why?” The agent responds, “Because you’re an immigrant.” And before the man has even been identified, the agents grab his hands and puts him in handcuffs. People standing around immediately start questioning what is happening…asking the agents how they can arrest someone when they haven’t even identified who he is… But the agents ignore them and walk the man to their vehicle. The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures. The Supreme Court has held that roving Border Patrol agents need reasonable suspicion, based on specific circumstances, to stop someone and question them about immigration status. And apparent ethnicity, by itself, is not enough. So, what was the actual legal basis for demanding this man show his ID? Because if the answer is literally… “because you’re an immigrant,” that should piss off every American. You should not have to prove you’re a U.S. citizen before the government decides it has the right to put you in handcuffs. And this is just another reminder that constitutional rights don’t mean anything if federal agents can violate them, over and over again, with no accountability.

🚨BREAKING: An ICE agent is seen VIOLENTLY kicking a man in the stomach, while he is lying on the ground, in West New York. In the video, the man is lying on the ground, against a wall and gate. He is not fighting the agents, or attacking them… But one ICE agent kicks him directly in the stomach anyway, and yells at him to get up. That is NOT how federal agents are supposed to treat a human being. The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable seizures, and excessive force. And even ICE’s own use-of-force standards say agents are supposed to use only the amount of force necessary to gain control, and that force cannot be used as punishment. ICE’s policy specifically calls for reviewing whether force was proportional, and whether agents responded appropriately once someone was subdued or cooperative. So, what exactly was the justification for kicking a man who is already lying on the ground? Because this is what happens when agents believe there will be NO consequences for abusing their power. They become more comfortable using force, more comfortable humiliating people, more comfortable treating human beings like they are less than human. And that is what makes this so damn disturbing. Immigration status does NOT mean you lose your constitutional rights, and being arrested does NOT give an agent permission to beat or punish you. This is inhumane, and it is disgusting. And when the government refuses to hold ICE agents accountable for abusing their power, they are giving them permission to keep doing it.

Now ICE plans to move him even farther from his family and lawyers, to San Diego. A journalist was shot while doing his job, prosecuted on a case that fell apart in court, and is still locked up nearly a year later. This is what press freedom looks like under this administration.

EXCLUSIVE: I've obtained a detailed account from the attorney representing Jose Mejia Hernandez, a man who says he was violently apprehended, hospitalized with a brain bleed, and held by ICE with almost no communication to his own family for three days. On the morning of August 11, at around 6:30 a.m., Mejia Hernandez was walking to work when a truck sped up on him and two men jumped out and ran toward him. Scared and not knowing who they were, he ran. While fleeing, he says he was hit with what he believes was a stun gun or Taser. He has no memory of anything after that, not how he was injured, not how he was transported, nothing, until he woke up in a hospital many hours later with serious facial injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. According to his attorney, two ICE agents stayed at his bedside the entire time he was hospitalized. He was never given a private moment with his own doctors. When he asked the ICE agents what happened to him, they told him they didn't know. He says hospital staff seemed reluctant to speak openly in front of the agents, and that medical staff appeared to communicate more with ICE than with him directly. A nurse eventually told him quietly, in Spanish, that he'd suffered a brain bleed and brain swelling, but he says he never got a full explanation of his diagnosis or how he got hurt. Meanwhile, his wife and stepchild had no idea where he was for about three days. Neither DHS nor the hospital, according to his lawyer, ever notified his family that he'd been detained, injured, or hospitalized. When ICE decided to discharge him, he says he didn't even understand he was being released. He was driven from the hospital, given food and told to contact his family, then taken to an ICE office where they strapped a GPS ankle monitor on him and handed him a Notice to Appear. By Friday he felt significantly worse and went back to the hospital, where he was again diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and brain bleed and stayed for two more days. His lawyer says doctors couldn't even complete the imaging they needed because of the ankle monitor. When he later went to his ISAP appointment still in pain, dizzy, with doctors saying he needed an MRI, ICE reportedly refused to remove the monitor unless he could produce a specific MRI appointment date and time, forcing him to bounce back and forth between the hospital and immigration offices just to get basic care while suffering from a brain injury. His attorney is now demanding a full accounting: who was involved, what force was used, why his family wasn't notified, why ICE was reportedly more involved in his medical communications than he was, and preservation of every record, custody log, and communication tied to this case. Mejia Hernandez still needs an MRI and further evaluation for a serious neurological injury.

Brouillette tackled his teenage daughter and smashed spaghetti in her hair, and during another outburst, he dragged his daughter around the house as she cried, she said.” He once left his ex-wife a voicemail that said “And all of you should have your f——–g throats cut. Yeah, you should. Am I threatening that I’m gonna do that? Nope. Nope. But do I think that you should have your f——-g throats cuts? Or should have had them cut? Yep.” A relative said that David was “extremely mentally ill” and said he attempted suicide twice at age 12 and was hospitalized multiple times. His daughter said that she came home from school once and he told her he had been sitting on a tree stump with a gun to his head. This is the kind of person that Donald Trump is giving a gun to and sending out on the street to terrorize innocent people. It just goes to show that they are doing ZERO vetting and don’t care at ALL about who dies as a consequence. David Brouillette needs to face justice for murdering Johan – but so does everyone up the chain who put him in a position to kill, because this man should NEVER have been allowed anywhere near a firearm.

Critics are calling this exactly what it looks like: the Trump administration obsessed with meeting deportation quotas over actual law enforcement and public safety. Past administrations used to coordinate to keep key informants in the country so they could testify. Not anymore. A DHS spokesperson tried to spin it by calling Hernandez a “clear and present threat,” but the result is the same: two alleged drug traffickers walked free because the government deported their main witness. This is what happens when “mass deportation” becomes the only priority: real criminals get a free pass while the system eats itself. A family autopsy found she was shot in the head. Minnesota wanted to investigate but the FBI took sole control within hours, cutting state investigators out of the evidence and scene. Vice President Vance said the agent had "absolute immunity." The shooting was the first homicide in Minneapolis in 2026 and the ninth time ICE agents opened fire on people since September 2025. The agent, Jonathan Ross, is an Iraq War veteran who was dragged by a car during a separate arrest six months earlier. Good's killing sparked national protests and triggered the ongoing DHS shutdown. No independent investigation was conducted.
