You speak of giving every child the best start in life—but I urge you to look at what’s happening behind the closed doors of the Family Court system.
Too many mothers across the UK are being separated from their children, not because they are unfit—but because they dared to report coercive control, domestic violence, and child sexual abuse.
These are mothers with no criminal records, monitored in contact centres like criminals for years, while the abusers retain custody—some tragically going on to harm or even kill the children they were handed.
The system fails to protect.
It punishes the protective parent.
It silences children.
And it is not accountable.
If your plan truly means “opportunity for every child,” then Family Courts must be made transparent. There must be oversight, reform, and justice for those who have been failed.
Every child taken unjustly is a tragedy.
Every silenced mother is a national wound.
Please—don't ignore the thousands of children growing up without the parent who fought to protect them.

Can someone in power please tell mothers who have had their children given to perpetrators of domestic abuse by the family court without evidence being tested or where it was found ignored, why their children have been removed as a punishment for them having the audacity to disclose domestic to the courts and related agencies?
Mothers, who are victims of domestic abuse, are told by the court that they will be punished if they continue to disclose domestic abuse. The court and related agencies such as cafcass then mislable their protective parenting and disclosures as "parental alienation."
"Pa" is a concept created by a US child psychologist Richard Gardener in the 1980s as a "get out of jail card" for paedophiles and abusive fathers. Why on earth are mothers in the UK, over 40 years on being accussd of this out dated and very dangerous psudo science, for trying to protect their children, losing precious time with their children that they will never get back, all while fighting to see their children in a process where no-one cares about DA.
They are told by cafcass, social workers, and the judge in family court that it is historical and that they are in an entrenched position if they stand their ground.
They pretty much lose their role as mother in every sense.
Come on, wake up, the judiciary is infiltrated with dangerous deep misogyny, and it's literally destroying families.
It's literally killing women and children and/or making them very ill.
This will come out, and it will be the biggest scandal the UK has ever seen.
📢 Family Court Failures – A Call for Urgent Reform
There is no respect for victims of domestic abuse in the UK Family Court. Women and children are being ignored, disbelieved, retraumatized, and in too many cases—punished.
🔹 Mothers report abuse, coercive control—and lose their children.
Custody is often handed to perpetrators, sometimes on speculation of “future risk,” not facts. This isn't justice—this is cruelty.
🔹 Family courts operate without evidence, transparency, or accountability.
It's as if they rely on crystal balls, not legal standards. Judges dismiss mothers, issue barring orders, and behave with open contempt.
🔹 Children are moved to abusers. Mothers are silenced.
Even expensive barristers can't protect you from judicial bias. Contact centres meant as short-term solutions trap women for years, charging them to see the children they raised safely.
🔹 The system protects abusers, not children.
Professionals—from CAFCASS, Social Services, to judges—enable coercion, ignore risk, and punish protective parenting. Unregulated "experts" and biased reports go unchecked. It's a systemic failure.
🔹 And when fathers break court orders? Nothing.
Mothers are blocked from seeing their children, sometimes for years. No language support, no accountability, no recourse.
This is not family law—it’s state-sanctioned abuse.
We need real reform, real funding for domestic abuse services, and real respect for protective mothers.

Across many countries, including the UK, a deeply disturbing pattern is unfolding: mothers who report domestic abuse and coercive control are being punished by family courts.
Statistical evidence (UK) shows that in cases involving domestic abuse allegations, 62% of family court applications concerning child living arrangements involve claims of domestic abuse. Alarmingly, nearly 25% of these cases result in the mother being forced to allow unsupervised contact with the alleged perpetrator, even after the first hearing. This is a significant issue, as 32% of children are handed over to perpetrators of abuse after the first hearing.
These children are being exposed to further harm under the guise of maintaining contact with both parents.
Judges are issuing barring orders like candy, silencing women and stripping them of the right to speak up for their children.
Some children — like Sarah Sharif — pay the ultimate price with their lives.
This is not just a legal failure — it’s a human rights crisis.
When children are placed in situations that endanger their safety, or when abusive parents are granted access under the guise of "stability," it's a stark failure of the system.
The emotional and psychological toll on children, especially in cases where mothers are trying to protect them, is significant. What's even more troubling is the lack of accountability for these decisions, and the fact that these children often continue to face harm in the name of "family unity."
The fact that these situations are allowed to continue without more robust oversight, monitoring, and intervention is deeply concerning. Human rights, especially children's rights, must be prioritized. The voices of affected parents and children need to be heard, and changes must be made to ensure better outcomes for families in these situations.
The lack of reform or action only perpetuates this cycle of harm, and more needs to be done to raise awareness, challenge these practices, and push for significant legal reforms. It’s time for the systems in place to be held accountable, ensuring that children’s safety is put first, above all else.
Where is justice for these mothers? Where is safety for these children? The UN and international bodies must act now — to demand accountability and real reform in family court systems that are failing those they claim to protect.#ChildrensRights

This happens in #IrelandToo. The Minister for Justice @OCallaghanJim and Junior Minister @NiallCollinsTD are aware it is happening. There are policies about #ZeroTolerance but in real life they do nothing to ensure #ZeroTolerance actually exists.
Now, we need to turn our attention to the private family courts, where a disturbing pattern is emerging: predominantly white British mothers and mothers from Eastern/Central Europe are losing their children after reporting domestic violence or coercive control.
👩⚖️ Contact centres are overwhelmingly filled with these mothers who have been separated from their children, often after raising concerns about abuse. This raises serious questions about fairness and consistency in the family courts. Just as the government stepped in to ensure equal treatment in the criminal justice system, they must now address what is happening in family courts.
If the government is intervening to stop inequality in criminal courts, why are they ignoring it in family courts? Justice must be the same for everyone—no exceptions.

'Parental Alienation' is a psudo science. It is a construct with one intention.... to destroy women.
In recent years, it has become a money-making industry, benefiting select professionals, making it even harder to eliminate.
The UK government might not recognise it, the UN might condenm it, but my God, the UK courts are milking it for all it's worth.

The judiciary appear to be doing whatever they want in family courts. With no accountability and no independent oversight, they are making unsafe judgements regarding child contact. This has already cost the lives of far too many children and mothers, and has destroyed many others.

➡️ The abuser uses the legal system as a way to keep "a noose around the victim's neck" - to keep control of the victim...
➡️ What's worse is that #FamilyCourt allows the perpetrator to continue to have this control...
➡️ Victims are rarely prepared for the onslaught of post-separation abuse that ensues "legally."
➡️ This is highly damaging to the children who are at the centre of these cases.
✳️ The court's focus shouldn't be on the abuser's rights, nor the money that can be made from dragging out a court case...
✳️ What should be happening is this:
✅️ Children should be listened to, protected, & have their needs, safety & wellbeing priorised above everything else... (allowing legal abuse & destruction of the safe parent is not going to achieve this).
✅️ With the knowledge we have of the way children are affected by #DomesticAbuse & #PostSeparationAbuse...
With the laws in place, that are intended to protect children, & which highlights the fact that children who are exposed to #domesticabuse are victims in their own right, there is no excuse anymore.
