These 3 young Prasar Bharati Engineering Assistants – Jyoti Prakash Trivedi (DD News), Ankur Saxena (HPT Bundi), and Rahul Deshmukh (DDK Bhopal) – are no more.
Jyoti Prakash died of cancer, unable to afford treatment due to no medical policy. He leaves behind two small daughters.
Ankur Saxena, the only child of his parents, succumbed to Covid. He too leaves behind a daughter.
Rahul Deshmukh recently died of a sudden cardiac arrest.
Despite their dedicated service, neither their widows nor their families are being granted family pension or terminal benefits. Instead, MIB & Prasar Bharati are fighting court cases against the wife of Late Shri Jyoti Prakash Trivedi for not giving Family pension.
No CGHS, no PBHS empanelled hospitals, no social security.
Is this how we treat our engineers who serve national broadcasting till their last breath?
We demand:
•Immediate release of family pension & benefits
•Implementation of medical policy for all PB employees
•Human dignity for the families of the deceased

5 अक्टूबर 2007 — एक तिथि, जो प्रसार भारती कर्मचारियों के साथ सभी अन्यायों की जड़ है।
प्रसार भारती संशोधन अधिनियम, 2012 से पहले, प्रसार भारती और उसमें कार्यरत ‘deemed deputationist’ कर्मचारियों के बीच कोई औपचारिक विभाजन नहीं था। CGHS, CGEGIS, और Central Pool Accommodation जैसी सुविधाएँ सभी कर्मचारियों पर समान रूप से लागू होती थीं।
लेकिन 2012 के संशोधन ने कर्मचारियों को निम्नलिखित वर्गों में विभाजित किया:
•Section 11(1) & 11(2) – ‘deemed deputationist’ कर्मचारी
•Section 11(5) – प्रसार भारती के 5 October 2007 के बाद प्रत्यक्ष रूप से नियुक्त कर्मचारी
5 अक्टूबर 2007 की एक मनमानी कट-ऑफ तिथि तय कर दी गई
इस एक तिथि के कारण:
•CGHS और CGEGIS जैसी सुविधाएँ 2012 के बाद धीरे-धीरे वापस ले ली गईं, और 2020 तक पूरी तरह समाप्त कर दी गईं।
•एक ही पद पर कार्यरत कर्मचारियों के ���िए अलग-अलग वेतनमान लागू हो गए।
•CCS (RSA) नियमों के तहत संघ की मान्यता नहीं मिली, जबकि APBEE की सदस्यता 90% से अधिक है।
•भारत के अधिकांश केंद्रीय सरकारी कर्मचारी General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) के अंतर्गत सरकारी आवास का लाभ उठाते हैं। हालांकि, मुंबई, चेन्नई, हैदराबाद जैसे महान���रों में, जहाँ किराये के मकानों की कीमतें अत्यधिक हैं, प्रसार भारती के कर्मचारियों को इस सुविधा से वंचित कर दिया गया है।
•स्व. ज्योति प्रकाश त्रिवेदी, इंजीनियरिंग सहायक, डीडी न्यूज़, जिनका कैंसर से निधन हुआ, की परिवार को उनकी निस्वार्थ सेवा के बावजूद पारिवारिक पेंशन नहीं मिली।
•मार्च 2018 तक वेतन ‘Grant-in-Aid’ के रूप में Consolidated Fund से मिलता था, लेकिन अप्रैल 2019 से इसे IEBR (Internal and Extra Budgetary Resources) से दिया जाने लगा।
यह ���ट-ऑफ तिथि:
•मनमानी और तर्कहीन है।
•संविधान के अनुच्छेद 14 और 16 का उल्लंघन करती है।
हम भारत सरकार से विनम्र अपील करते हैं:
•5 अक्टूबर 2007 की कट-ऑफ तिथि को रद्द करें।
•इस भेदभाव को समाप्त करें।
•प्रसार भारती कर्मचारियों के अधिकारों को मान्यता दें।
