Ahead of Mother’s Day, I’m proud to lead my colleagues w/ @SenWarren’s leadership in the Senate, in the reintroduction of the #MamasFirstAct.
This vital legislation expands Medicaid coverage to include doulas & midwives, securing comprehensive care for more Mamas.
After giving birth to my 1st child, I left the hospital feeling embarrassed and violated.
No one should feel that way after receiving care.

Yesterday, I ceremonially signed Senate Bill 84, which establishes licensing standards and procedures for Certified Professional Midwives (CPM) in Kentucky.
Lots of support for this bill from all ages...😊 #WeAreKY
