#Addiction medicine #HarmReduction - chronic pain patients are often accused of causing stigma when they say they don’t have OUD. If people want pain patients to stop saying it then maybe those of you with the addiction and harm reduction platforms can help us fight things like the recent push ( backed by Kolodny and Christopher Jones) claiming that there are now 9 million people with OUD in this country and the vast majority are CPPs who take their medication exactly as prescribed. So we are all going to have to say we don’t have OUD unless someone helps us fight this ridiculous notion.
Anyone? Yeah, I figured as much. Probably won’t get as much as a retweet, but you all seem to find my inbox when you think a pain patient says something that’s stigmatizing.
