📊 Results
Key Findings:
1⃣ KL-6 and hSP-D baseline levels significantly predicted ILD progression (HRs 1.37 and 1.51 per SD increase, respectively).
2⃣ Annual changes in KL-6 and MMP7 were strongly linked to progression (∆KL-6 HR 2.33, ∆MMP7 HR 1.69).
3⃣ hSP-D annual change showed no significant association.
Statistics:
▪️Patients in the highest KL-6 quartile (Q4) had the worst progression-free survival (HR 2.95 vs. Q1).
▪️Confidence intervals were narrow, indicating precision in estimates.
💪Strengths:
🔹Standardized measures (e.g., KL-6 via immunoturbidimetric assay).
🔹Rigorous follow-up and consistent assessment via CT scans and PFTs.
⚠️Limitations:
🔻Small sample size and single-country cohort (Korean population) limit generalizability.
