This month, DOT will begin a safety improvement project on 6th Ave between W. 35th St and Central Park West in #Manhattan. This project will:
🚴♂️Add parking-protected #BikeNYC lane
🚶♀️Increase pedestrian safety
🚗Update curb regulations
⬅️Create safer, slower left turns
"Temp" style protected #bikeNYC lanes coming on 5th, 6th, 7th aves in Manhattan, Center st and Lafayette - some will become future permanent treatments.

According to the @NYCMayor #GreenWave Progress Report, DOT has completed 21.4 protected bike lanes miles last year. DOT has committed to building 30 miles of new protected #bikenyc lanes. At least 10 of those miles will be within Manhattan.
DOT also hinted that they are looking at another major #BikeXTown route in #MoveMidtown between 29th and 52nd. Could this be #Vision42 we have been hoping for - a tramway on 42nd St with PBL? @BarmanNYC
