@seanforscience @astronomyftw When I found out about it from someone else and asked him, he made us all watch it at his house as a group meeting, and he paused it to make me explain the chemistry and physics on the blackboard in the movie to our newer students. *peak nerddom* ❤️ #laserchick #moviephysics

Watching #Twister, and I can't help but think that by trying to save his family by holding onto the storm cellar door, Jo's dad inadvertently killed himself when the door became loose and essentially became an airfoil, generating enough lift to carry him away. #MoviePhysics

In Star Wars, blaster fire usually moves at “cinematic speed”. It usually takes 2-3 frames to cross the screen, no matter the distance. Other speeds tend to feel too slow or it blinks by without impact. #MoviePhysics #Solo #VFX
