Putting aside the psychobabble, there are some welcome observations and useful findings (though nothing groundbreaking). But is this really the best they could do in 8 years? I can't see how it moves the field forward. Right now it feels like a kick in the balls. #NIHMECFS
The authors then contradict themselves by stating, "these findings suggest that effort preference, not fatigue, is the defining motor behavior of this illness." This is bullshit, and would have been revealed as such if the researchers had conducted a 2-day-CPET. #NIHMECFS
