One thing that has really struck me over the years is how broadly interconnected these various contributions are, and in the past few years I've come to think of #NVJS more as an ecosystem than a publication, where the contributions feed and feed off each other in wonderful ways.
Huge thanks to all of the authors, reviewers, supervisors, guest editors, readers and retweeters (!) whose support has helped #NVJS to grow from a little-known print journal to the exciting #OpenAccess treasure trove of new writing on Japan that it has become.
To all the fabulous #JapaneseStudies tweeps who have supported #NVJS over the years: I’d like to borrow this space to say that after nine amazing years as Series Editor, I’ll be handing over the keys on Friday and moving on to something new.
Exciting! The lucky four will get to work in the School of Humanities with the wonderful @emeraldlking and Katsuhiko Suganuma, both passionate #JapaneseStudies scholars and past #NVJS editorial board members :)

More exciting #NVJSalumni news! This is the second time (that we know of) that NVJS author @wilkinson_aoife's work has been picked up by Japanese media. Aoife researches mixed ethnicity in the Australia-Japan context. She has a paper in #NVJS12 and a review forthcoming in #NVJS13
A personal note: after nine years supporting Japanese Studies at @JPFSydney and as Series Ed of @NVJSjournal, I will be moving on later this month. A huge thank you to all who have supported #NVJS and any of my other events & projects. Forever grateful!!
