🚨🚨🚨Nicotine Displaces Spike Protein from Receptors
Using whole-body PET-CT and MRI, researchers made this displacement process visible for the first time in a Long COVID patient. They used an acetylcholine receptor-specific radiotracer for this purpose. “We examined the patient with imaging before and after nicotine patch therapy. The evaluation of the PET-CT/MRI images impressively shows that the nicotine molecule occupies the receptors instead of the viral spike protein, thereby restoring physiological cholinergic neurotransmission,” explains the senior physician for anesthesiology, intensive care medicine, pain therapy, and palliative medicine.
The study is considered “pioneering” by the physician, and while the initial results are promising, they need to be further investigated in larger studies.
A follow-up survey of 231 Long COVID patients who used nicotine patches confirmed the hypothesis of the case study. In 73.5 percent of the respondents, symptoms improved significantly. “We can rely on a stable body of research that confirms nicotine is not a carcinogen. There is no addictive effect from nicotine in transdermal application. This makes nicotine patch therapy a suitable treatment method in the fight against Long COVID,” concludes Leitzke @LeitzkeMarco

#NicotineTest does anyone know of a nicotine patch that does not cause irritation? I was OK for a week, but then I developed inflammation under the patch at an increasing rate.

I’ve suffered from #LongCovid for 3+ years and slowly recovered twice with the help of #nattokinase, #NicotineTest, #LDN and #valaciclovir. I have antibodies against the muscarinic M4 receptor, others negative, which harmonizes with my symptoms in parasympathetic nervous system.

#nicotinetest update. Today is 5 days since my last patch. I do think I feel a little better since before I started the patches. Energy and cognitive ability notched up just a bit. Biggest downside is the diarrhea that started up after I stopped the patches has not gone away yet
#nicotinetest update. So today is my second day off the patches, definitely having some side effects. Since stopping, I've had a fair bit of diarrhea, nauseous today, and more drowsy than usual. Is this nicotine withdrawal or could be some herxing? Other than that, feeling decent
So this was my resting hr over the week I was doing the #nicotinetest. Idk if my resting hr has been this low all year, my HRV has also improved , I'll take these as a good sign!
#nicotinetest day 9 update, today is my first day off the patches, I ended up going 8 days at 7mg. I had a really great week! The effects were kinda like a mild ADHD med for me, I had decently increased cognitive abilities and excecutivd function, but not overstimulating

So the first day on the 7mg patch went very well. For most of the day I felt a pleasant stimulation, with significantly less cognitive fatigue. In the evening, I think I started herxing a bit, suddenly some flu-like symptoms but it didn't last too long

Another interesting finding from my meeting with Mike is that I am mutated on the ACE-2 receptor to which he reccomended I try nicotine patches, so looks like the #nicotinetest is in my future sooner than I expected!
