Hey lads.
It's not 'just a cold', unless by 'just a cold' you mean something that can cause your balls to die.

It's #NotMild and we have to make it known now. What are we waiting for? People to just randomly leave the comfort of denial and come back to reality? It isn't going to happen. We have to connect the dots now.
We can organize now and wreck the "it's mild" narrative or we can let Covid wreck us.
The Damage is cumulative, and Time Is Running Out!
Right now is the time to get vocal, to organize, to run virtual campaigns, to attract media attention, to demand education, mitigation, and air filtration, and to demand help for those who have Long Covid and other Post Covid Conditions.

I am going to keep working to raise awareness and help others, I need your help to do it, and if we raise enough I'll recruit a team, and promote the content of others. Thanks friends.

A school friend just told me that her last bout of mild Covid a few months ago gave her myocarditis and left her with arrhythmias. She doesn’t take precautions, but she does test, and she could exactly pinpoint the onset of her heart problems to immediately after the infection.
‼️🚨‼️This is exactly what we needed! @elisaperego78 NEVER gives up. Relentless. Convicted. Share widely.

“WHAT IS #LongCovid…?”
Overview and Pathophysiology of Long COVID
🚨200–400 MILLION people worldwide are crippled by Long COVID. That's not a 'mild' virus aftermath, it's multi-organ destruction that persists for years. Wake up. #LongC0vid
➡️Authored by @elisaperego78 , a Long COVID patient-researcher and advocate (with lived experience of chronic illness), it brings authenticity and depth rarely found in traditional academic reviews, blending rigorous synthesis with real-world urgency.💪👏
➡️Summary:
1. Long COVID affects an estimated 200–409 million people globally, with pooled prevalence around 36% across studies. Risks persist across all ages, even in mild/asymptomatic or vaccinated/Omicron cases, though attenuated by vaccination,
2. It is a heterogeneous, multi-system condition involving dozens of symptoms (e.g, fatigue, brain fog, dyspnea, pain) that evolve over time, often relapsing, with potential for subclinical damage, disability, and increased mortality,
3. Major pathophysiological mechanisms include viral persistence in tissues, immune dysregulation (e.g, lymphopenia, T-cell exhaustion, autoantibodies, complement issues, mast cell activation), autoimmunity, endothelial dysfunction, micro/macro-thrombosis (including fibrinolysis-resistant microclots), chronic inflammation, microbiome dysbiosis, and reactivation of latent pathogens,
4. Organ-specific involvement is widespread: cardiovascular/endothelial (e.g, vasculopathy, accelerated aging, perfusion defects), heart (myocarditis, arrhythmias, ischemia), lungs (fibrosis, thrombosis, perfusion abnormalities), CNS (neuroinflammation, Gray matter loss, BBB disruption), PNS (neuropathy, dysautonomia/POTS-like), GI (dysbiosis, barrier impairment), hepatobiliary/pancreas (injury, new-onset diabetes), kidney (progression to CKD, thrombotic microangiopathy),
5. Evidence draws from imaging (e.g, CMR showing up to 78% cardiac involvement post-mild infection), histology/autopsy (viral presence, thrombi, NETs), and large meta-analyses (e.g, 97 million people showing elevated autoimmune disease risk),
6. Challenges include heterogeneous case definitions (WHO, NICE, etc.), limited biomarker access, surveillance gaps post-2022, and reinfection contributions.
➡️‼️In short, this isn't just another review, it's a patient-powered wake-up call exposing Long COVID as one of the most complex, widespread, and under-addressed biological crises of our era.
‼️So, Long COVID represents a profound, enduring public health crisis driven by persistent viral and immune-mediated multi-organ destruction, with no resolution in sight without urgent, scaled-up research and intervention. #WAKEUP #AvoidSars2 #AvoidReinfections

Major deterioration in healthy life years in Germany after Omicron!
#NotMild
Key findings:
- Germany adopted EU's 2-question format already in 2019
- Covid had a clear negative effect on HLY. Major deterioration in HLY came after 2022 (Omicron), not during 2020-2021

@TdotMum @AboutKidsHealth We need to protect kids from infections, correct.
But you also perpetuate gross misinformation that encourages children to be infected. #NotMild

@JOHNJOHNSTONED @DrTedros @doctorsoumya @mvankerkhove @CollignonPeter @Chikwe_I @hans_kluge @MoetiTshidi @JeremyFarrar @RickABright @kakape @vismitag Imo a key point that is still being overlooked in the #PandemicReview:
What happens when scientific experts, for fear of causing panic, present facts differently than they are? #CovidIsAirborne & #NotMild
Ein zentraler Punkt der imho bei der #Aufarbeitung noch zu kurz kommt:

An official and important recognition for research detailing the impact of #LongCovid in children and adolescents upon reinfection in the Omicron era!
#NotMild
The researchers detail a list of symptoms, including "myocarditis, changes in taste and smell, thrombophlebitis and thromboembolism, heart disease, acute kidney injury, fluid and electrolyte disturbance, generalised pain, arrhythmias, abnormal liver enzymes, chest pain, fatigue and malaise, headache, musculoskeletal pain, abdominal pain, mental ill health, POTS or dysautonomia, cognitive impairment, skin conditions, fever and chills, respiratory signs and symptoms, and cardiovascular signs and symptoms."
While these findings are sobering, information is power! It's so important that these findings are documented and validated, so that when patients show up in their doctor's office seeking help, they are taken seriously.
We know we are not there yet on a community level, but each paper like this - and recognition from research organizations - gets us one step closer. 🙏
Thank you to Dr. Chen and his research team! 🙌🙌

Seeing some very similar signs to the 1968 flu pandemic.
We may see more than one wave and this variant of H3N2 seems to have a very long tail.
Wear a N95 or better when in public spaces. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Dear Humanity,
Maybe let's consider not hotboxing the kiddos with a #neurological time bomb all day every day...
Let's get proper #ventilation in schools, #bébés. Seems kinda important?
