READ THE BILL 💸
This is a very important point made at a grassroots candidate event I attended yesterday.
The problem with the legislature is we are #overbilled and most bad bills have a bad fiscal note attached.
Legislators view bills like business deals and conquests.
Notches in their belts. 🏆
In order for them to feed their egos, and get their bills across the finish line, they have to COMPROMISE their morals, values, and their promises to their constituents who put them there.
So if I were a legislator I would vote NO on every bill that had fiscal notes or unintended consequences and wouldn’t waste my time doing shady deals.
I would use my bully pulpit to expose bullies who use their money and power to impose more government and more tryranny.
