@DukeHOD1 (1/2) Currently, the APTA opposes a whole model of business that could facilitate interprofessional care (#POPTS). We believe that if APTA were to rescind this opposition and foster conversation around the importance of interprofessional care outside of health systems, #dudpthod

Consider how having pediatric PTs in offices alongside pediatricians can facilitate this type of a change and increase referrals to PT for prevention of childhood obesity. #POPTS #dudpthod

Awesome! Consider how interprofessional collab in the form of POPTS (Physician-Owned Physical Therapy Services) could facilitate relationships between OBGYNs and PTs, improving access to, increasing awareness of, and decreasing stigma towards PT treatment of PFD. #dudpthod #POPTS

Here's the position statement! https://t.co/EL6M5JHv2F Generalizing POPTS as APTA does here is potentially preventing innovation and professional collaboration in ways that can really advance our profession and enhance the lives of our patients. #dudpthod #POPTS
