3. CONSENSUS PROTOCOL VARIATIONS

Is Koinos for Americans?
One of the reasons why I decided to help launch @koinosnetwork was because I don't want my fellow Americans to miss out on the revolutionary potential of blockchain technology despite my government's best efforts.
I'm not saying there are no bad actors in crypto, if you know me at all you know I'm one of the first to call out how pervasive scams are within the space.
The problem is not that government is trying to regulate crypto, it's HOW they are trying to regulate crypto which is through FEAR and OBSTRUCTION instead of a genuine interest in promoting innovation and protecting consumers.
The Federal government's approach has directly caused most LEGITIMATE crypto projects to establish themselves outside of the United States, thereby depriving our citizens from access to these generational opportunities.
It also deprives the government of tax revenue which is totally self-defeating!
I am an American and I believe Americans deserve as much access to cutting edge blockchain technology as anyone. They shouldn't have EXCLUSIVE access, they should have ACCESS.
That's why we launched Koinos in the most established manner possible; using proof-of-work mining, just like Bitcoin. That's also why we founded our company, @TheKoinosGroup as an American company.
These decisions have made things ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE more difficult for us. But if we were afraid of challenges, we never would launched a blockchain or started a company in the first place!
While we wish these barriers did not exist, the fact that they do will provide us with a competitive advantage that we can exploit to make Koinos more successful.
