I wish I was surprised but this Assembly is astonishingly dysfunctional. Electricity strategy is vital to get on with future planning not least for the businesses that it will directly affect. Enough of the false flag of #PauseAndReview !
You couldn't make this up... The States recently voted to avoid unnecessary delay and debate the Electricity Strategy this week, but Dep Murray wants to lay a delaying motion (sursis) when we start debating it! He seems determined to make the "States of Inaction" label stick. 🙄

Respect to MP Kate Osamor and Assembly Member Joanne McCartney for writing in asking for Pause and Review on the Edmonton Incinerator. This project needs independent scrutiny on health, equalities, size and cost grounds. It needs to be future proof with full public consultation.
Incinerators are not the solution to the waste crisis.

This is key. Silvertown incurs a £1bn debt. And @tfl need to keep traffic levels high to pay off that debt with tolls. Which is exactly the opposite of what we need to do to prevent climate breakdown. It's a mad, mad scheme. @Heidi_LDN @jonburkeUK @MayorJohnBiggs @rachaelvenables
