Biasly I disagree with shamba system in regards to our corrupt culture, fear of losing natural forests as we strive to increase forest cover @johnnjenga brings a valid discussion that it's time we think how best to do it rather than shutting it down on inception.

I partly grew up in Githurai. My family was part of Shamba system. The former coffee plantations in Kahawa West, Roysambu, Clay Works on Thika Road is where I learned farming. That land did not belong to my family but it gave us food. A THREAD.⚖️
