A team of govt. doctors who petitioned @CMOTamilnadu @Subramanian_ma says about 700 govt. doctors absconded from government service after enjoying 50 % State govt. quota & incentive marks (up to 30 %) for PG courses and hefty monthly salary (up to Rs 90,000) while pursuing their course. These doctors violated security bond & betrayed State government causing abt Rs 100 crore loss to exchequer, they added.
1. Such doctors execute security bond with the State govt. promising that they would serve in govt. health institutions till retirement because they want State government's quota, incentive mark & free education with hefty salary from taxpayers' money. They should pay security amount (about 20 to 40 lakh with interest rate) if they want to leave the govt. service
2. However, they unauthorisedly escape from the govt. service to run their own clinic/hospital or become full-time private practitioner without paying security amount.
3. Knowing all these, Tamil Nadu Medical Council, DMK & AIADMK governments remained mute spectators for decades. The influence of these erring doctors' lobby in Tamil Nadu government entities is unimaginable.
4. A section of government doctors are continuously pressing State govt. for recovery of security amount from erring docs. Now health department has initiated the recovery process.

At some hospitals ONLY 2 doctors are covering the ENTIRE hospital between 4pm to 8am. Meaning they are the same ones in A&E seeing new patients, dealing with patients on the wards and going to operating theatre if an emergency surgery needs to happen. #AllAngles #sicksystem
