#StatutorySickPay (SSP) is changing!
From 6th April, the #EmploymentRightsAct means that:
✅SSP is paid from the 1st full day of sickness absence (rather than the 4th day)
✅The lower earnings limit is removed, making SSP available to all employees regardless of weekly earnings
In my experience of running businesses for nearly 30 years (always contractually offering more than SSP), the take up directly correlates to how well your employees are treated and reflects directly on your company values. Bad businesses never measure it. #statutorysickpay
