#TMOT22 I feel The blacks in this book all contrast each other. Jerry tries to solve his race problems by trying to become white, while Green tries to solve it by fighting physically. Meanwhile, Dr. Miller wants to fight, but is simply to passive to do anything.

DrP's southern influence has taken place of his logical judgment (from his education) once more as he tactfully fabricates his response to show DrM that Sandy is truly guilty and that nothing could be done to stop it. He used the strategy when stopping DrM from helping MC.#TMOT22

#TMOT22 This sentiment by Dr. Miller is similar to his thoughts in #TMOT5 , when he is on the train and a lively crowd of black people board. In both situations, he sees that to white people, the actions of one black person reflects upon the entire race.

“A negro has been arrested...the entire race is condemned...” (124). This reminds me of people’s general mistrust of Muslims today because of the violent deeds of a Muslim minority. #tmot22

Sandy being falsely accused of Aunt Polly’s murder reminds me of “To Kill a Mockingbird” when Tom Robinson was being accused of raping a white women mainly based off of the fact that he was African American. #TMOT22

#tmot22 on page 126 Josh says “I would n’ min’ fightin’, for my time ain’t come yet, — I can feel dat in my bones” brings back earlier foreshadowing from chpt 12 pg 74 that Josh Green may eventually cause a big clash in the novel between blacks and whites
